Privacy Policy

Last updated 13 August 2026

Daymark collects nothing. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party service of any kind. The app sends nothing to me or to anyone else, and I have no way to see what you write.

What the app stores, and where

Everything you enter — your date of birth, whether a day was won or lost, entry titles and text, habits and their check-ins, and any photos or audio memos you attach — is stored by the app itself. When you first open Daymark you choose where that happens:

You can change this choice later on the Habits screen.

Photos and the microphone

If you attach a photo, Daymark asks iOS for that photo and keeps a copy with the day you attached it to. If you record an audio memo, the recording is saved with that day. Both are used only to fill in your entries. Neither is uploaded anywhere by the app, and neither is analysed. Daymark can only ever see the photos you pick yourself.

Exporting and deleting

Export all data on the Habits screen writes a single JSON file containing your entries, and hands it to you through the standard iOS share sheet — where it goes next is entirely your choice. The same screen imports such a file back.

Deleting a habit, an entry, or a photo removes it from the app. Deleting Daymark removes the data stored on the device; if you chose iCloud, you can also remove the app's data from within iOS Settings under your iCloud storage.

Children

Daymark is a personal journal that collects no data and contains no third-party content, advertising, or communication features.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date above.
